Ellipsis are very pleased to introduce our Support Staff for the World Ultimate Club Championships this year! We are extremely thankful to all of these people for volunteering their time to assist the team – your contributions will ensure we have the best possible foundation for success at Worlds.
Amanda Kostic (Opposition Analyst)
Amanda Kostic brings extensive ultimate experience as both a coach and player to the Ellipsis support team. Coaching since 2009, Amanda has held a range of roles, including a very successful stint with high school team Nathan Hale Raiders, an Assistant Coach position with the Australian Women at WJUC 2012, two years as Assistant Coach of the U17 DiscNW YCC girls team (back to back YCC champions), and this season she will be coaching the U20 DiscNW YCC girls. Amanda has also competed at numerous USA Nationals with teams Schwa and Underground, and won World Championship gold with the USA U24 team in 2014. Amanda’s fantastic ultimate mind, coupled with her deep knowledge of the North American club scene, will bring an important extra dimension to the team’s strategy development and decision making.
“I’m really excited to work with Amanda at WUCC this year. Having seen her work as a coach first hand, I know that her powerful and unique perspectives will provide the coaching team with awesome support” – Steve Wright, Head Coach
Stuart King (Injury Management)
Stuart King returns to Ellipsis after working with the team during the 2017 season. After completing a Masters of Health Science (Osteopathy) in 2006, Stuart moved immediately into practice, and has been working in the field for the last 11 years. He has been treating ultimate players throughout that time, and attended the previous World Ultimate Club Championships (Lecco 2014) with Bauhaus. This experience in a Worlds tournament environment and his existing relationships with many Ellipsis athletes makes Stuart an ideal choice for the team. Throughout the season he has been working with athletes, providing invaluable advice and support.
“After Stu worked with us last season, everyone was really keen for us to get him back this year. He always goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is cared for, and in addition to treatment always provides invaluable advice. We all love having him around too!” – Alex Prentice, #9
Brent Streepe (Injury Management)
Brent Steepe is a veteran trainer with 26 years experience ranging from the casual sport to most professional sports throughout the US. His ultimate-specific background is also impressive, most recently working as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the University of Michigan, Lead Field Trainer for the Detroit Mechanix AUDL team, and Athletic trainer for the Michigan/Ohio High Five Program. Brent’s broad range of skills include strength and conditioning, injury management, nutrition, and massage therapy, rehab, and personal training. In his day-to-day life in Detriot Brent applies these skills with his company Advanced Training Techniques Inc (among other pursuits). He will be joining Ellipsis in Cincinnati to work with Stuart to ensure our athletes are operating at their peak performance throughout WUCC!
“Having Brent joining us is such a great outcome for every player. His background speaks for itself, and I feel so good knowing we are going to get the best possible care at Worlds ” – Cat Phillips, #35
