Ellipsis Ultimate are very excited to announce that we are bringing World Champion Alyssa Weatherford out to Australia to run a women’s coaching clinic in Sydney.
About Alyssa
Alyssa started playing Ultimate in 2000 (16 years ago!) at New Options Middle School and took her passion for the sport to Nathan Hale High School. She played her college career at Western Washington University (WWU), captaining the team in her last three seasons, and coaching the team ever since.
Alyssa joined Riot in 2007 and has played with them for the last 10 years, including captaining them for two years and winning the World Club Championships in 2014. Just this week, Ultiworld named her as one of the best seven players at the recent USA National Championships.
Her youth coaching experience includes:
- USA U20 Girls team 2016
- Seattle Academy of Arts and Science
- Hamilton International Middle School
- Fryz Ultimate Club
- Seven Hills Ultimate Club
Alyssa has also had the opportunity to coach internationally at clinics in Mexico, Colombia, Panama, Venezula, Argentina, and Brazil.
She loves coaching players who work hard, strive to be leaders, and respect the people around them.
Women’s Training Days
Alyssa will be running a full day of training in both Melbourne and Sydney. The training days are open to all women, regardless of age, skill level or club affiliation.
- Melbourne: Sunday December 4th, 9am-4pm
- Sydney: Saturday December 17th, 9am-4pm
Cost is $35 for adults and $20 for u18s.
