We have three exciting coaching opportunites available for the upcoming womens and mens seasons.
WOMEN
The Ellipsis Women’s team will not be appointing a Head Coach. This is in line with the team’s goals for the 2019 season, in particular providing personal development opportunities for all players. The responsibilities that generally lie with the Head Coach will be taken on by the leadership team. As such, the leadership team will be the key decision makers in regards to strategy, training and game day.
Ellipsis is seeking to appoint one or more Development Coach/es for the 2019 Ellipsis Women’s team. The Development Coach/es will work closely with the women’s leadership team to develop skills in planning trainings, running sessions, providing player feedback, and more generally, coaching and leadership. The role is aimed at someone who would like to develop their coaching skills in a high-performance environment. This position will only be filled if a suitable candidate is found (at the discretion of the Ellipsis board).
The development coach will have the following responsibilities:
- Attend twice weekly team trainings (not required to be able to attend all trainings)
- Plan and coach training sessions on a rotating basis (with the leadership team)
- Attend and provide input in to team leadership/strategy meetings
- Attend tournaments and provide game day coaching support to the leadership team
- Work with the leadership team to provide player feedback at various points throughout the season
In order to maximise their learning and growth opportunities, the development coach will be asked to submit their personal goals for the season to the Women’s leadership group. Monthly feedback on these goals, and on other potential areas for improvement, will be provided by the leadership team.
